Reskit 1:48 MJ-1 Jammer Driver and airmens (Vietnam), scene 2: three 3D printed figures of a driver and ground personnel for the MJ-1 munitions trailer from the era of the Vietnam War.
Responsibility details are not available.
Three figures in 1:48 scale made by 3D printing capture the driver of an MJ-1 trailer and two members of the ground personnel loading munition. The set carries the designation scene 2; the manufacturer offers two compositions on the same theme with different poses, so the two can be joined into one busy airfield apron. The figures match the kit of American armorers from the period of the war in Vietnam and are intended for trailers of the MJ-1A and MJ-1B versions.
The MJ-1 lift trailer, nicknamed the jammer among the personnel, has served the US Air Force since the 1950s for loading bombs and rockets under the wings of combat aircraft. In Vietnam it belonged to the ubiquitous equipment of forward bases, where armorers managed dozens of external stores a day in tropical heat. No faithful airfield diorama can do without this small piece of equipment.
Olive and khaki tones capture the working clothes of the armorers, complemented by colored shirts according to the position on the deck or the ramp. Skin under a tropical sun will take a deeper tanned shade. A fine dry brush will bring out the folds of the overalls and will tie the figures beautifully to the weathering of the aircraft and the trailer.
