MJ-4 Jammer loader crew 1:48, scene 1 is a figure set for a model of the airfield vehicle used for handling ammunition.
Responsibility details are not available.
The figure set captures the ground personnel at an MJ-4 loader, that is at the trolley with which bombs and rockets are hung under the wings of combat aircraft. The scene 1 designation distinguishes the arrangement of poses within the range, so it can be combined with the second variant into a wider setting. The figures are built for the model of the loader and for the work of the ordnance crew.
The hydraulic loader of the MHU-83 type belongs to the typical equipment of the airfields of Western air forces. The arm lifts a heavy bomb to the height of the pylon and the driver trims it to the millimeter, while the armorers guide the load by hand and secure its position. The work goes on in a tight space under the wing and demands that the whole crew work as one. The sequence of operations is fixed and every step has its own person, which is why several pairs of hands meet within a few square meters.
Working coveralls usually carry bold signal colors, which contrast sharply with the dark surface of an airfield. Lay down the base shade, bring out the folds with a glaze and go over the edges with a dry brush. Color the footwear, the gloves and the ear defenders separately. At the end it pays to dust the feet lightly with pigment, so that the figures merge visually with the surface. Anyone who wants to go further will add small oil traces on the knees and forearms.
Neither the loader nor the aircraft belongs to the set; they are obtained separately.
