The set holds four 3D-printed resin Mk-XVII depth bombs of 350 pounds in 1:48 scale. It is an armament accessory for naval and anti-submarine aircraft that replaces simplified kit parts with a faithful copy. It is not an aircraft kit.
The Mk-XVII depth bomb of 350 lb was part of the American anti-submarine ordnance. It was dropped from aircraft against submerged submarines and detonated at a set depth. Naval patrol and anti-submarine machines carried similar armament.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate them from the casting blocks and clean them up with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate. Paint the bombs uniformly according to the period marking of naval ordnance; the mounting bands and the fins can be set apart and brought out with a wash.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
