Plastic kit of the fighter aircraft Curtiss P-40M Kittyhawk in 1:48 scale by Hobby Boss. It is a molded model in gray plastic with engraved panel lines, a detailed cockpit and clear canopy parts. It represents a late version of the famous American fighter with a belly-mounted radiator.
The P-40 was one of the most numerous Allied fighters of the Second World War and saw action on practically every front. The P-40M version was a late variant close to the P-40K; it was powered by a V-12 Allison V-1710 engine and had a slightly lengthened fuselage compared with earlier aircraft, for better stability. The Kittyhawk flew with American, British and other Allied units and gained a reputation for its rugged construction.
First assemble and paint the cockpit, then close up the fuselage. Glue the parts with a thin liquid cement for plastic and sand the joints smooth. An airbrush and masking suit both the desert and European camouflage schemes; you can handle the type's signature shark-mouth nose art with a decal or a mask. Washes and dry-brushing will bring out the panels and wear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
