An injection-molded plastic kit of the American Republic P-47D-25RE Thunderbolt fighter in 1:48 scale from MiniArt in the Advanced version. This edition adds photo-etched parts and brings a finely rendered engine as well as the engine and gun bays, clear glazing parts and decals for several markings.
The Thunderbolt was one of the heaviest and most rugged single-engine fighters of the Second World War. The P-47D version with the bubble canopy offered better visibility to the rear. It was powered by a powerful radial engine with a turbocharger; the machine excelled in the fighter-bomber and escort roles, took heavy damage and carried strong gun armament and a heavy load of underwing ordnance.
Make use of the openable covers and show off the detailed engine and the gun bay; finish the cockpit interior before you close the fuselage. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Mask the bubble canopy. Spray large areas with an airbrush and apply gloss varnish under the decals. Fit the drop tanks, the bombs and the rockets last.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
