An injection-molded plastic model of the American fighter Republic P-47D-26RA Thunderbolt in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian brand MiniArt, in the Advanced Kit version. The Advanced designation means a richly equipped package: besides the plastic parts it contains a photo-etched fret, a detailed cockpit, an engine and clear parts. Lowered flaps, open gun bays and drop tanks are among the options. The exact number of parts is not stated here until it has been verified.
The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was among the largest and heaviest single-engine fighters of the Second World War. It was powered by a powerful radial engine with a turbocharger and it carried heavy machine gun armament in the wings. The P-47D version with the bubble canopy improved the pilot's view. Apply a base (primer) before painting, spray the paints with an airbrush in thin coats and bring out the metal surfaces on a smooth base.
