A set of pre-printed steel seat belts from Eduard for a model of the P-47M Thunderbolt fighter in 1:48 scale. Steel photo-etched belts are springier than brass ones and hold the shape of the folds better, so on the seat they look naturally realistic. The belts are pre-printed in color, including the fittings. It is not an airplane kit but a cockpit detail accessory; the name gives MiniArt as the target kit.
The Republic P-47M Thunderbolt was the high-speed version of the massive American fighter from the end of the Second World War, powered by an uprated Pratt & Whitney R-2800 engine. The roomy cockpit with its seat and multi-point belts is clearly visible when the canopy is open.
Shape the steel belts gently and glue them onto the seat. Steel makes it possible to achieve a faithful sag and faithful folds. Use a small amount of super glue or photo-etch adhesive for a firm joint. The edges can be unified with a light coat of varnish.
This is a detail accessory for a corresponding kit in 1:48 scale; the aircraft model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
