This resin detail set adds an underwing external fuel tank for models of the Pilatus PC-7 and PC-9 trainers in 1:48 scale. It is not a stand-alone aircraft model but an accessory that enriches the base kit with equipment typical of these machines. The parts are cast in modeling resin and the casting blocks have to be cut off before use.
The Pilatus PC-7 and its more powerful successor the PC-9 are Swiss single-engine turboprop trainers with tandem cockpits. In the training role as well as in the light attack role they carry underwing stores and external tanks, which extend their range on longer transfer and patrol flights.
First wash the parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the sprue gates and sand the surfaces. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate); sand with respiratory protection. We recommend applying a primer before painting.
This is an add-on set, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
