A detailed figure of a pilot in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Plus Model. The casting in resin is intended for a model of the first jet fighter committed to combat, the Messerschmitt Me 262. The figure can be placed in the cockpit or stood beside the aircraft in a diorama. It captures the period flight suit, the helmet and the kit from the end of the Second World War.
The Messerschmitt Me 262 Schwalbe was a German twin-engine jet fighter committed in the closing phase of the Second World War. Its pilots wore the typical flying kit of the Luftwaffe, which is reflected in the rendering of the figure.
First wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut the casting blocks off and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); do the sanding with respiratory protection. Apply a primer before painting. For the suit and the leather elements, layering of tones and fine accenting of the seams and folds prove their worth.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
