The 1:48 QRC 80-01 ECM pod with pylon for F-111 set from Reskit is a 3D printed external jamming pod including the pylon, for a kit of the F-111 aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model but an add-on for armament and stores.

An accessory set for modelers who want to add an electronic warfare pod, together with the pylon it was carried on, to their F-111 model in 1:48 scale. According to the name the set is made by 3D printing, which on small stores means crisp edges, fine surface division and clean shapes without the mold seams that injection-molded plastic has.
The F-111 was an American twin-engine combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing and a crew seated side by side. Besides armament it also carried external pods with electronic warfare equipment, which were hung on pylons under the fuselage and the wing. The QRC series designation belonged to equipment developed under an accelerated program; the pods therefore differed from each other in shape, length and attachment, and the same aircraft could carry different types in different periods. Before the build it pays to compare a photograph of the particular machine you are building.
Cut the parts off the supports with a sharp knife or a fine saw and sand the marks left by the supports with fine sanding paper, wet. Apply a primer before painting; it will bring out any unfinished spots. Pods tended to be conspicuous in their color finish and their warning markings, so it pays to give the set some time: a smooth gloss surface under the decals, a thin panel wash and only moderate weathering. It is bonded with super glue; always try the attachments dry so that both the axis and the angle sit correctly.
The set is an add-on to a plastic kit, which it does not replace. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the basic kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
