The kit from the Korean maker Academy is laid out as a straightforward plastic kit, suitable even for modelers who are only starting out with armor, and it offers the markings of the army of the Republic of Korea.
The K9 Thunder is a tracked 155 mm self-propelled howitzer in service with the South Korean army. It combines an armored tracked platform with a long barrel and an automated loading system, which gives it a high rate of fire and a range of tens of kilometers. It is one of the most widespread modern self-propelled guns and serves with a number of other armies as well.
Join the plastic with liquid modeling cement. Assemble and paint the running gear and the tracks before you close the hull. Apply a good primer, spray the single-color finish with an airbrush, and bring out the bulk of the hull by shading the edges (lightening them) and with a wash into the recesses. Dust and mud on the running gear are finished off with pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
