An injection-molded plastic kit from the Swedish maker Pilot Replicas in 1:48 scale. The set captures the SK60 C version with rm9 engines, and it is complemented by a fret of photo-etched parts and decals for three machines printed by Cartograf. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The SAAB 105, designated SK60 in Swedish service, is a two-seat jet aircraft of the early 1960s intended for training as well as light combat tasks. The SK60 C version was fitted with a lengthened nose with the option of carrying reconnaissance equipment, and it served in the operation of the Swedish Air Force for many decades before it was withdrawn.
Glue the plastic parts with a thin modeling cement for plastic, and the fine etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer before painting, lay the shades on with an airbrush and seat the decals on gloss varnish, so that no silvering occurs. Clean the joints of the fuselage and the glazing of the canopy up carefully.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
