Photo-etched fenders for models of the Tiger I tank (early production) 1:48 – vol.2, the additional set from Aber. Accurate brass fenders as a replacement for plastic.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched detail accessory, not a model. The additional set (vol.2) focuses on the fenders for models of the German Tiger I heavy tank in its early production form, 1:48 scale. Thin brass sheet makes it possible to capture the true gauge of the real fenders, which plastic parts cannot imitate.
Photo-etched fenders have a realistically thin profile and can be shaped, bent or given battle damage and dents. The result looks far more convincing than the thick-walled plastic from the kit. The set follows on from the basic set (vol.1) of the same line.
Cut the parts out of the fret, make the necessary bends over a metal ruler or a bending tool and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the brass before painting and go over it with a primer. If you want to suggest damage, dent the sheet carefully with a blunt tool.
The accessory does not include the tank model itself, paints or glue. It serves only to detail a kit.
