Eduard 1:48 Spitfire Mk.I landing flaps is a photo-etched set of landing flaps for the model of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I fighter. The model itself is not included in the package.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of photo-etched landing flaps from the Czech maker Eduard for the model of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I fighter in 1:48 scale. The photo-etched metal flaps make it possible to show the flaps in the lowered position with a faithful internal structure that plastic cannot render as thinly. It is not an aircraft model but a detailing accessory; the base kit has to be obtained separately.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I was the first production version of the British fighter, with an elliptical wing and a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine. It became famous for its part in the Battle of Britain. Lowered flaps are a typical feature of the aircraft standing on the ground.
Separate the parts from the fret with a sharp knife and clean up the cut faces. Use a bending tool or a straight edge for bending. Glue the photo-etched parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and set the flaps at a lowered angle following the real thing.
This is a detailing accessory, not a model. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
