Eduard 1:48 Spitfire Mk.IX - Wheels Set

This accessory by the Czech maker Eduard is not a kit but a set of 3D-printed main landing gear wheels for the plastic Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX model in 1:48 scale. The replacement wheels have sharper detail than the plastic parts and lack a parting seam.

What the set contains

  • 3D-printed main landing gear wheels with a faithful tire tread pattern
  • elaborate detail of the rim and the hub
  • clean shapes with no seam of the kind split plastic halves tend to have

Use and fitting

Separate the wheels from the print supports and clean them up. The tire and the rim are easier to paint with a mask. Bond with super glue and degrease the surfaces before painting.
