Omask 1:48 Spitfire Mk.V/VIII/IX/XVI – landing gear bay masking plugs (for Eduard)

A set of preshaped masking plugs intended for the range of Spitfire kits in 1:48 scale from Eduard (the Mk.V, Mk.VIII, Mk.IX and Mk.XVI variants). The plugs are inserted straight into the openings of the landing gear bays and prevent paint from flowing inside while camouflage or a clear coat is being sprayed. Unlike flat masking templates these are shaped inserts that fill the whole space of the bay. It is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory that makes painting easier.

Use

• Insert the plugs into the landing gear bays of the relevant part before spraying.
• Paint the surrounding surfaces of the model with an airbrush or a spray can according to the scheme you have chosen.
• Once the paint has dried, take the plugs out carefully — the inside of the bay stays clean.
• Depending on their condition the plugs can be used again in further stages of painting.
