Die-cut self-adhesive Peewit painting masks for a model of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb fighter (the later canopy variant) in 1:48 scale. They cover the frames of the cockpit glazing while spraying. It is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely die-cut self-adhesive masks from Peewit intended for painting a plastic model of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb fighter in 1:48 scale, in the variant with the later type of cockpit canopy. It is not a kit or a finished model — these are painting masks that reliably cover the frames of the cockpit glazing and the areas that are to stay clear while paint is sprayed. The masks are shaped to fit a particular kit of this aircraft in the given scale.
The Supermarine Spitfire was a British single-seat fighter with an elliptical wing and a Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engine. The Mk.V version was among the most widespread and most heavily used in combat during the Second World War; the b subvariant carried mixed armament with cannon in the wing. The later type of canopy refers to the modified shape of the hood, of the kind the newer examples of this series carried.
This is an accessory to a plastic kit. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
