A CMK resin engine set in 1:48 scale brings the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine for a model of the tropicalized Spitfire Mk.Vb Trop fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin detail set, not an aircraft kit. It brings a finely rendered Rolls-Royce Merlin V-12 engine with its mounting bearers, the firewall, the exhausts and further items for a plastic model of the tropicalized British Spitfire Mk.Vb Trop fighter in 1:48 scale. It makes it possible to uncowl the nose and put the engine bay on show.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb was one of the most widespread versions of the legendary British fighter of the Second World War, powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin 45 engine. The tropicalized form (Trop) had a large dust filter under the nose and was committed to action in the Mediterranean and in north Africa.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts and cut off the casting blocks; bend the photo-etched parts on a bending tool and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint and finish the engine before closing up the cowling panels, and bring the hoses and the plumbing out with metallic shades and a fine wash. Support the open panels suitably.
The set is an accessory for a plastic model, not a kit in its own right. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
