The follow-up metal set of the series that Royal Model devoted to the early version of the German heavy tank in 1:48 scale. It extends the first part with further brass replacements for molded areas: fine grab handles, ironwork and sheet-metal details that come out too heavy on a molded part. Both parts are separate items and they complement each other. The target kit is Tamiya.
After the unsuccessful debut in northern Russia, the vehicles of the first batches appeared in Tunisia, where British and American crews first learned what it meant to meet armor their guns could not handle. The fighting at Kursk and in Ukraine followed. The weak point was neither the armor nor the gun but the weight, the fuel consumption and the demanding maintenance: the transmission and the running gear needed a workshop that retreating units often did not have. A number of machines therefore ended up abandoned and shot up by their own crew rather than destroyed in a direct duel.
Without tweezers with a fine tip, a scalpel and a small bending tool you will not manage this set. Dose the cyanoacrylate glue with a wire, otherwise it floods the surroundings. It is worth fixing the painted metal surfaces with varnish, because you will easily knock against them during the rest of the build.
The contents are a metal blank to be worked up. Do not look for the kit, paints or glue in it.
