A miniature resin kit of an American military scooter in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Plusmodel. The set contains resin parts, photo-etched parts, decals for several versions and instructions. Out of it you can build a standalone model of the scooter or a lively detail for a diorama or a vignette.
Light American scooters were used in the Second World War by airborne and rear-echelon units to move messengers and personnel quickly around bases and in the field. The simple single-seat machine was popular for being undemanding and easy to transport.
First wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and dry-fit them. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and bend the photo-etched items over a sharp edge. After spraying with primer, an olive green base suits the subject, along with fine scuffs and a dusty patina in pigments, which give a small model scale believability.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
