An injection-molded plastic model of the British multipurpose helicopter Westland Lynx in the AH-7 version in 1:48 scale from the Airfix brand. The AH-7 is the army (land) version operated by the British Army Air Corps. The package offers several finish options and richly subdivided parts including the cabin interior and the main rotor.
The Westland Lynx is a British twin-engine helicopter which entered service in 1977 and became famous for its exceptional agility. The army version AH-7 served for transport, reconnaissance and anti-tank combat - it was armed with TOW anti-tank guided missiles. It was powered by a pair of Rolls-Royce Gem turboshaft engines. The Lynx also went down in history as the holder of the speed record in its category, which it holds to this day.
Bond the parts with modeling cement for plastic and fit the cabin glazing with clear-parts glue so that it does not go cloudy. It is advisable to paint and shade the cabin interior and the cockpit before closing the fuselage. The blades of the main and the tail rotor call for clean gluing and straight mounting; use a primer and an airbrush before painting and bring the matte military camouflage to life with fine emphasis of the panels.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
