A photo-etched brass detail set holding universal clamps, clips and holders for engineering tools, for German military vehicles of the Second World War in 1:48 scale. It is not a vehicle model but an accessory that replaces thick, simplified plastic clamps with fine photo-etched parts. It is meant for general purpose (GP) use across different kits.
German armored and truck vehicles carried shovels, picks, crowbars and other tools on their sides and fenders, held by metal clips and straps. In scale these clamps tend to be coarsely molded; a photo-etched replacement gives them real delicacy and a thickness true to scale. The parts can be combined with the tools from the basic kits.
Separate the small parts with a sharp knife or with photo-etch scissors and form the bends with a bending tool. Glue with cyanoacrylate, and degrease the metal and prime it before painting. Tweezers are recommended.
An accessory for advanced builders; the tools, the plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
