This is a photo-etched accessory set from the brand Voyager Model, not a kit of the tank. It holds fine photo-etched parts imitating the protective armor plates that are added to a model over the standard plastic parts. The set is intended for models of the German Panther Ausf. D medium tank in 1:48 scale and brings thinner and sharper detail than injection-molded plastic allows. The set is intended for the Tamiya 32597 kit.
The Panzerkampfwagen V Panther was among the most significant German medium tanks of the Second World War. The Ausf. D version was the first production variant, in service from 1943. It combined thick sloped frontal armor with a long 75 mm gun and became the basis for a whole series of later modifications.
Bend the photo-etched plates gently over a sharp edge and use cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) for gluing. Degrease the metal surfaces before painting and prime them with a base coat, so that the paint holds well. The transitions between plastic and photo-etched parts can be fine-tuned with filler.
This is a detail accessory set. The model of the tank itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
