A photo-etched sheet from the British maker Airscale in 1:48 scale. It offers a set of fine cockpit details in the style of British (RAF), German and American aircraft of the Second World War. It serves for super-detailing the interior and for adding the features that injection-molded plastic cannot cover. This is not a model or a kit but a photo-etched detail set.
The sheet contains small cockpit components and controls conceived in a universal way for those nationalities and that era. The parts are thin and accurate, so they raise the level of detail of the instrument panel, the side consoles and the seat considerably. They combine ideally with the instrument decal sets and bezels from the same maker.
Separate the parts carefully from the fret with a sharp knife on a hard surface, and smooth the edge if needed. Make the bends on a photo-etch bender or with the help of a ruler. Bond them with a small amount of super glue (cyanoacrylate) and paint the finished parts to match the real subject.
This is a stand-alone photo-etched accessory. The aircraft model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
