A kit of the British battleship HMS Iron Duke in her 1914 state in 1:700 scale from the brand Flyhawk. With this manufacturer the Deluxe label means extended contents of the package against the basic release, that is added parts on top. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted and is intended for modelers who have experience with ship models.
HMS Iron Duke was the flagship of the British Grand Fleet and in that role took part in 1916 in the Battle of Jutland, the largest naval engagement of the First World War. She carried ten guns of 343 mm caliber in five twin turrets placed on the centerline of the ship. After the war she served as a training ship and her weapons were largely removed under the disarmament agreements.
Begin with the hull and the superstructure and let them cure fully, and only then fit the small parts. Shade the gray of British ships of that time according to the surfaces: the upper decks lighter, the sides darker. Add the masts and the rigging with stretched fishing line or fine thread, and it is exactly that which turns a model of a big ship into a real silhouette. The surface of the water on a base can be made from modeling resin.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
