PLAN Type 094 Jin Class SSBN is a 1:700 plastic kit of the Chinese nuclear ballistic missile submarine with photo-etch.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:700 scale from Hobby Boss represents the Chinese strategic nuclear ballistic missile submarine of Type 094 (NATO reporting name Jin). The kit holds a manageable number of plastic parts and photo-etched elements for the fine detail. Thanks to the smaller scale it is a quicker yet still detailed model, suitable for a shelf or a display case.
Type 094 is the second generation of Chinese nuclear ballistic missile submarines. Compared with the earlier Type 092 it brought markedly better stealth, more modern sensors and more reliable propulsion with a new reactor. The submarine carries ballistic missiles launched from submergence and forms the naval leg of the strategic forces.
The hull can be built complete or in the waterline version on a stand. Glue the plastic parts with cement for plastic and the photo-etch with super glue. We recommend primer and an airbrush for even shades; the subtle transitions of the hull come out well with a discreet emphasis on the panel lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
