The set holds two 3D-printed resin AIM-26A Falcon air-to-air guided missiles in 1:72 scale. It is an aftermarket accessory for plastic kits, which refines the American external stores of the day.
The AIM-26A was an enlarged and more capable version of the Falcon missile developed for American interceptors of the turn of the 1950s and 1960s. Compared with the standard Falcon family it had a more robust body and was intended to destroy bombers. The set faithfully reproduces its characteristic shape, including the control surfaces.
Wash the parts clean of any uncured resin, carefully cut off the 3D print supports and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Lay down a base coat, paint with an airbrush and bring out the fine detail with washes.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
