The Arado Ar 396 was a German all-metal advanced trainer of the end of the Second World War, based on the proven Ar 96. It served to train pilots and was not used in combat; part of the production took place outside Germany and development of the type continued after the war.
A short-run kit will be appreciated more by experienced modelers: the parts usually have no locating pins, so expect to clean up the mold edges and sand the mating faces. Join the plastic with thin modeling cement, or with super glue on the small parts, and apply a primer before painting. Spraying with an airbrush makes smooth transitions easier.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
