Propellers, engines and engine cowlings for the B-24 Liberator in 1:72 scale from Reskit. The set is cut for the Airfix kit; it is not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory set, not an aircraft model. It contains four engine units with cowlings and two types of propeller, from which the modeler picks according to his own subject. The set is cut for the Airfix kit, which is essential: a variant for a different kit exists for the same aircraft, and because the shape of the engine nacelles differs between molds, the two are not interchangeable. In 1:72 scale the cowlings and propellers are the most simplified place of all, because a finned radial engine and a twisted propeller blade lie beyond the limit of what an injection mold can manage.
The Consolidated B-24 Liberator was an American four-engine bomber with a high-mounted wing of a long slender section. It was powered by four air-cooled radial engines in cylindrical cowlings of an unusual elliptical shape, by which the type is recognized at first glance.
The set is for modelers who are building a B-24 in 1:72 scale from the stated kit and want engine nacelles that match reality. The work is not difficult, it only calls for patience while removing the supports.
It is not an aircraft model. The base kit, paints and glue are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
