Responsibility details are not available.
A gift set of plastic kits in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Airfix, devoted to the aircraft of the British memorial flight Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. The package contains several aircraft models and tends to be supplemented with a starter set for building, that is, paints, brushes and glue. The models are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is a ceremonial flight of the British Royal Air Force based at Coningsby, which keeps historic machines of the Second World War period in airworthy condition. They include the heavy bomber Avro Lancaster and Supermarine Spitfire fighters; some releases of the set also contain the Hawker Hurricane. These aircraft still fly at air shows today in faithful period colors.
The set also suits as a gift and as a start into building models. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement, and first clear the parts of their sprue gates. Lay on a primer before painting; for a clean accent on the panel lines and the RAF markings both an airbrush and fine brushes work well. The characteristic circular national insignia, the roundels, are part of the decal sheet.
The models are supplied unassembled and unpainted. The extent of the accessories enclosed may differ between individual releases.
