AZ model 1:72 Bell X-2 Starbuster 6674 is a plastic kit of the American experimental rocket aircraft of the 1950s.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American experimental Bell X-2 Starbuster aircraft in 1:72 scale from the brand AZ model. This boxing represents the first of the two prototypes built (serial number 6674) and offers decals for period markings. Plastic sprues and clear canopy parts are included.
The Bell X-2 was a research rocket aircraft with swept wings, which pushed the limits of flight in the area of high speed and extreme thermal loading of the structure. The X-2 program investigated the behavior of an aircraft beyond three times the speed of sound and brought valuable knowledge for later supersonic machines. Two prototypes were built, differing mainly in their use and their markings.
This is a smaller and delicate model suited to more careful modelers. Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. The characteristic polished metal surface calls for a smooth base, and the metallic finish should be sprayed with an airbrush in thin coats. Seat the canopy carefully, so that the glazing stays clean and free of glue marks.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
