An injection-molded plastic kit of the Messerschmitt Bf 109E-3 fighter in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer AZ model. It is an entirely new mold; the package contains parts in gray plastic, a sprue of clear parts and decals with several German schemes from the campaign against France, including technical stencils.
The Bf 109E, nicknamed the Emil, was the backbone of the German fighter force at the beginning of the Second World War. The E-3 version with the Daimler-Benz DB 601 engine and wing cannon armament played a marked part during the fighting for France in 1940. It was one of the highest-performing fighters of its day.
Glue the plastic with a thin glue, and with short-run molds expect to clean the joints up carefully. Apply primer before spraying and use an airbrush. The typical early schemes combine light undersurfaces with hard-edged upper camouflage, so masking is worth the effort.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
