Zvezda 1:72 Carthaginian Numidian cavalry is a set of historical plastic figures of light riders from the period of the Punic Wars.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of unglued plastic figures in 1:72 scale from Zvezda. The package contains approximately 17 riders on horseback in several poses. The figures are intended to be assembled and painted and suit both diorama building and tabletop games.
The Numidians were inhabitants of North Africa, and their light cavalry was one of the mainstays of the Carthaginian army, especially in the early phases of the Punic Wars (roughly the 3rd to the 1st century BC). They rode without saddle or stirrups, were fast and mobile, and were used for scouting, for harassing an opponent and for combat raids. They were mostly armed with light javelins.
Separate the parts from the sprue and join the riders to the horses. Use cement for plastic or super glue. Apply a base coat, paint with a brush or an airbrush and bring out the details with a wash. Natural tones of cloth and leather are typical of the subject.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and bases are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
