An injection-molded plastic kit of the Chinese experimental stealth aircraft Chengdu J-36 in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter. It is an entirely new mold capturing the prototype as it was shown to the public; the kit is completed by 3D-printed seats.
The J-36 is a Chinese experimental stealth aircraft of a new generation developed by Chengdu (CAC) for the People's Liberation Army Air Force. The real subject is notable for a tailless layout with a reduced radar signature and is conceived as a multirole combat machine combining air superiority with strike capability. Because it is a very recent prototype, a number of technical figures remain unofficial and come from observation of published pictures.
Use a thin plastic cement and take care over aligning the parting lines perfectly, because on stealth shapes the seams on a flat fuselage are clearly visible. Apply a primer before painting. Spray the low-visibility gray scheme with an airbrush in thin coats and give the uniform surface life with subtle modulation of the shades and restrained emphasis on the panels. Wash and degrease the 3D-printed seats before gluing them in.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
