1:72 Chocks-in USAF signal scene (3 pcs) (3D Printed) is a printed scene of three ground crew figures giving the pilot the signal that the aircraft is secured with chocks.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of three figures produced by 3D printing that captures US Air Force ground crew signaling to a pilot. Specifically it is the signal that the wheel chocks are in place under the wheels and the aircraft is secured against movement. The figures are modeled in motion and with recognizable gestures, so the scene works even without further accessories. Even in 1:72 scale printing holds the folds of the clothing and the shape of the ear defenders.
Communication between pilot and crew on the apron is done with the hands, because engine noise makes speech impossible. The gestures are standardized, so a signal has the same meaning at every base. The signal about chocks being put in or taken out is one of the basic actions before takeoff and after landing, because whether the aircraft can move depends on it. That situation is immediately legible on a diorama.
The printed parts are held on thin print supports. Snip them off close to the figure and level the surface with a scalpel. They are bonded with super glue. Apply a primer before painting. Paint the high-visibility vests and the ear defenders boldly, because it is those that make the scene legible. Vary the shades of the trousers and boots slightly so that the figures do not look like copies.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
