A resin kit of the Curtiss CW-24B - US Test Plane 1:72 from Planet models with 3D-printed parts, intended for experienced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
A short-run resin kit of the American experimental aircraft Curtiss CW-24B in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Planet models, completed by 3D-printed parts. It is a kit for experienced modelers: it contains resin and 3D-printed components, vacuum-formed clear canopy parts and a decal sheet. For the exact contents follow the enclosed instructions.
The Curtiss CW-24B was an American experimental aircraft of the beginning of the 1940s which served to prove an aerodynamic concept with the wing at the rear and the horizontal surfaces at the front. The fuselage was metal, the wings wooden, and the machine was powered by a less powerful test engine. The findings from flying this demonstrator served in the development of the better-known fighter concept of the same manufacturer.
First wash the resin and 3D-printed parts free of mold release agent, carefully cut the casting blocks and supports off and do the sanding with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), not with cement for plastic. The vacuum-formed glazing calls for careful cutting out and fitting with canopy glue. Apply the base over a primer, which will at the same time reveal any surface faults.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin kit with 3D-printed parts. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
