The second part of the series of British amphibians from Star Decals in 1:72 scale. Beside the DUKW vehicles the sheet of water-lifted decals adds the SEEP amphibious light car as well, and it concentrates on the company 297 Coy (GT) and the units of the Beach Group from the landing in Normandy. It is not a kit but sheets of markings for finished models.
The SEEP (Ford GPA) was the amphibious version of the famous Jeep, used for reconnaissance and liaison on amphibious sectors. Together with the DUKW it formed the backbone of the logistics on the beaches. The Beach Groups directed the movement of material and people in the surf zone and their vehicles carried specific distinguishing markings, which this sheet reproduces.
Apply them onto a gloss varnish base, cut the motif out, soak it briefly and slide it into place. A softening solution will improve the adhesion to the details; a final matte varnish will unify the markings with the surrounding paint.
The product is a set of decals. The model of the vehicle, the paints and the softening solutions are not included in the package.
