The Dassault Super Etendard is a French single-engine carrier-based attack aircraft that served on aircraft carriers and became famous as a carrier of anti-ship guided missiles. Carrier service puts heavy demands on the landing gear, because the wheels take a hard touchdown on a limited deck as well as the loads of a catapult launch. On a model it is a clearly visible detail, and on a finished display piece it even touches the base.
These are replacement wheels in 1:72 scale, that is an accessory for a kit, not a standalone model. They are fitted in place of the kit parts, ideally at the very end of the work so that they are not damaged while the model is handled. How many parts the set carries is stated in the enclosed instructions from the manufacturer.
The parts are not made of polystyrene, so ordinary cement for plastic has no effect on them; glue the joints with cyanoacrylate glue. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder so that the shape of the wheel is not spoiled. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise neither primer nor paint will hold. Spray the hub and the tire separately; masking tape or a template will keep the boundary between them clean.
A set of wheels is supplied. The kit, paints, glue and masking material are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
