A set of self-adhesive pre-cut painting masks in 1:72 scale from KV Models. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for the build. The set holds masks for the pilot's canopy glazing and also wheel masks — circular masks that cover the wheel hubs while the tires are sprayed, so that the boundary between rubber and hub stays clean and precise. The masks are cut for one specific kit — the Revell DHC-6 Twin Otter. They will not fit another model or another scale.

Use

• Stick the canopy masks on the glazing according to the diagram and press the edges down carefully against paint creeping under.
• Spray the canopy frames and peel the mask off once the paint has set — sharp, even frames are left.
• Cover the wheel hub with the circular mask, spray the tire in flat black and lift the mask off; rubber and hub then have a clean boundary with no touching up by hand.
• It saves the laborious cutting of tape and gives sharp edges on the glazing and the wheels alike.
