The real subject

The Westland Wessex was a British multirole helicopter built under license from the American Sikorsky design. It served in the antisubmarine role and as a transport and rescue machine, and it was operated by navies and air forces in many countries. The various versions differed in equipment and powerplant, and the markings on this sheet differ accordingly.

Use

• Cut the decal out, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and slide it into place
• Apply it over a smooth gloss varnish so that no silvering forms under the decal
• A softener will help the decal settle onto details and rivets
• Once dry, overspray with clear varnish to seal it
