The Bristol Beaufighter was a British twin-engined heavy fighter with a crew of two, derived from the torpedo-carrying Beaufort. It was powered by Bristol Hercules radial engines and carried a battery of four 20 mm cannon in the nose, firepower that the single-engined fighters of the day did not have. It was precisely the roomy nose and the load-carrying capacity of the airframe that made it one of the first usable night fighters: an airborne radar and its operator fitted inside, and the operator guided the pilot toward the target until the pilot could see it. The letter F in the Mk.IF and Mk.VIF designations marks the fighter version, and the Mk.VIF is the later of the two.

Which particular aircraft the sheet covers and in what order is given in the enclosed instructions; follow them when positioning the individual motifs as well.
These are classic wet decals. First varnish the area they will go onto to a gloss and let it dry thoroughly, because on a matte surface a white veil will appear under the film. Cut the motif out close to the print, soak it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and wait until the film starts to move on the paper. Settle it onto the wet area, align it with a brush and blot the excess water away. Over rivets and pressings, pull the decal down with a decal softener and let it dry without touching it. Finally seal the finished markings with a clear coat.
