An injection-molded plastic kit of the Dornier Do 17K in its late form, 1:72 scale. The Do 17K was the Yugoslav license version of the German Do 17 bomber, differing from the German machines above all in its radial engines and reworked nose. It is a short-run kit that holds photo-etched and resin parts besides the plastic moldings, plus a decal sheet with several markings. Take the exact contents from the actual box.
The Dornier Do 17 was a German twin-engine bomber with a slim fuselage, which earned it the nickname the flying pencil. Yugoslavia acquired a license and built its own Do 17K variant with Gnome-Rhône radial engines. These machines were committed during the attack on Yugoslavia in 1941; some surviving examples later served with other air arms.
This is a short-run kit with extra parts: glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate, and wash the resin parts free of mold release agent and cut off the casting blocks before gluing. Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement. Expect to clean up the moldings and dry-fit them. Apply primer before painting; masking tape makes the canopy glazing easier. A light wash will bring out the panel lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
