Three crew for a munitions lift in 1:72 scale, poses for the lowered arm of the MHU-83 D/E truck.
Responsibility details are not available.
Three men for a model of a loading truck, captured at the moment when the lifting arm is down and the load is only just settling. Although this is a small scale, the print holds legible hands, footwear and the shape of the working headgear. The figures are shaped for the particular model of the MHU-83 D/E truck, so their arrangement around it makes sense in terms of the work procedure as well.
1:72 forgives much less than is commonly said. It pays to work with very thin paint and to let the detail come out through shadow rather than drawing. Hold the figures with tweezers and apply the glue with a pin, because a drop from the bottle would flood them completely. Tweezers with a soft grip will save your nerves more than any other tool.
An air base in 1:72 tends to be full of hardware but rarely full of people. A group of armorers by a truck gives the apron action and at the same time shows the viewer how small that loading machine actually is. Without a human figure beside it you will never tell that from a photograph or from a display case.
Neither a truck nor an aircraft is part of this item. The group can be split up and the individual men used in other places in a scene too.
