This resin set of replacement wheels from the Czech maker Plusmodel is intended for models of the E-2C Hawkeye carrier-borne radar aircraft in 1:72 scale. It replaces the wheels from the standard kit with more faithful castings with fine detail on the tread and the hubs, and it is usually supplied with a self-adhesive mask that makes painting the tires easier.
The Grumman E-2 Hawkeye is an American carrier-borne early warning and control aircraft, recognizable by the large rotodome above the fuselage. It serves with the navy as an airborne command and surveillance post and is still in service today.
Wash the parts clean of mold release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and glue them with super glue. Resin wheels often faithfully capture the flattening of the tire under the weight of the aircraft, so take care to orient the contact surface correctly toward the ground. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
