This set from the maker Reskit brings resin 3D-printed exhaust nozzles for the F100-PW-220 engines in the closed (contracted) position for models of the F-15 Eagle and Strike Eagle fighter. The nozzles suit the A, B, C, D, E early and J versions, so they cover a wide spectrum of real subjects. The seating diameters match the rear end of the Fine Molds kit.
The parts have finely rendered petals and inner walls and replace the simplified plastic nozzles from the kit. The rear part of the model thus gains realistic depth and the correct shape.
Clean the remains of the supports off the nozzles, tidy them up and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. After painting with metallic shades and accentuating with a wash, the detail of the petals comes out well.
