This is not a model of a tank but a set of track: individual links for the Soviet T-64 tank family in 1:35 scale. The box states 180 links. The maker is the Ukrainian brand Spalah, which 3D-prints its parts from photopolymer resin. A track built up link by link allows the natural sag between the road wheels, which a ready-made plastic track from a kit usually cannot manage, and on a model that shows at once.
The T-64 is a Soviet tank of the 1960s which was the first to combine composite armor, an autoloader and a three-man crew. Its running gear differs from the later T-72 and T-80 in having smaller wheels and a different track, so tracks cannot be interchanged between these families. T-64 tanks are still in use today and appear in current conflicts.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, cut the print supports away and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Assemble the track on a flat surface in longer runs and let them set before shaping them around the wheels. Paint over a dark metallic base, bring out the wear on the running faces with a dry brush and add dust with pigments.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
