An injection-molded plastic kit of the American two-seat strike fighter McDonnell Douglas F-15E Strike Eagle in 1:72 scale by Italeri. The model is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted kit; the decal sheet allows a US Air Force machine to be rendered. Take the actual package contents, the number of parts and the range of markings from the information on the box.
The F-15E Strike Eagle is the two-seat strike version of the F-15 Eagle fighter, developed for all-weather attacks on ground targets as well as for air combat. The crew is a pilot and a weapon systems officer. The aircraft is powered by two jet engines and carries a large weapons load on its hardpoints and additional conformal fuel tanks. It entered service at the end of the 1980s and proved itself in a number of conflicts, from the Gulf War to later operations in the Middle East.
Separate the parts from the sprues with a cutter and glue them with thin modeling cement for plastic. Sand and fill the joints of the fuselage and the leading edges before painting. A primer and spraying with an airbrush are recommended — the gray camouflage schemes of the US Air Force are typical. Apply the decals onto a gloss varnish and seal them with a matte clear coat; paint the cockpit and the external stores separately.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
