1:72 F-35 Lightning II pilot (scene 1) (3D Printed) is a printed figure of a contemporary fighter pilot in a standing pose.
Responsibility details are not available.
A printed pilot figure in 1:72 scale, intended for the model of the contemporary F-35 Lightning II fighter or for a diorama around it. A second version of the same pilot in a different stance also exists, so the two can be placed side by side without looking like two copies. Even in a small scale printing holds the folds of the flight suit and the shape of the bulky helmet, which is usually the first thing lost on injection-molded figures.
The pilot of the F-35 wears a helmet with a built-in display that replaces the conventional head-up display above the instrument panel. The helmet is therefore larger and more angular than on earlier generations, and on a figure it is the main identifying feature. The flight suit and the g-suit trousers match contemporary equipment. The figure therefore cannot be mistaken for a pilot of an older type, even though it stands in an apparently ordinary pose.
The printed parts are held on thin print supports. Snip them off close to the figure and level the surface with a scalpel. They are bonded with super glue. Apply a primer before painting. In 1:72 scale a face is suggested rather than painted: a basic skin tone and a light shadow are enough. Give the helmet a different degree of sheen from the flight suit; the difference in surfaces brings the figure to life.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
