The F-4 Phantom II is a two-seat twin-engine fighter aircraft recognizable at first glance: the outer sections of its wing are bent upward, while the horizontal tail surfaces are angled downward. The F-4J version came about for the US Navy and was intended for service from the decks of aircraft carriers. It was precisely the naval Phantoms that were among the most strikingly marked machines of their day, because squadrons painted their own colors and emblems onto the fin surfaces and the nose sections.
The decal sheet in 1:72 scale carries the markings of a machine of the unit that used the nickname Be-Devilers.
