Eduard 1:72 F/A-18C Hornet painting masks are a set of self-adhesive kabuki masks for clean spraying of the cabin and the canopy of the F/A-18 carrier fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
These painting masks from the Czech maker Eduard are intended for models of the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet carrier fighter in the F/A-18C version, in 1:72 scale. The pieces of low-tack kabuki tape follow the shape of the large canopy and the cabin frame exactly, so that straight, sharp transitions remain once the paint is sprayed on, without laborious cutting of tape.
The McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet is an American carrier multi-role fighter capable of both air combat and strikes on ground targets. The F/A-18C version is the single-seat form with upgraded avionics and extended armament; for many years it formed the backbone of carrier aviation and served with other users as well.
Lift the pieces off the sheet, transfer them onto the canopy and the cabin frame and press them down with a soft tool. The large canopy can be covered further with strips of tape or with liquid mask. Spray the frame color and then the outer shade, and remove the masks while the paint has only just dried.
The masks are an accessory for spraying, not a model. Paints, glue and the kit are not included in the package.
